We Greatly Look Forward To Seeing You On The Day

A Few Details For You About Our Forest Bathing Retreat

Forest Bathing (Shinrin-yoku) is a Japanese practice of nature immersion and now an integral part of the Japanese Health Care programme.

Anna Healy will be your Forest Bathing Guide, and has been certified by the Forest Therapy Institute. Anna will guide you through a series of invitations to help you get a multi-sensory experience in the woods.

“I really enjoyed this experience. I felt very comfortable and enjoyed the slow pace and being able to take everything in. Anna is so gentle, caring and supportive and very respectful of each individual’s space and needs. I highly recommend it.”
Samira

“Forest bathing is the process of embracing the beauty of nature to self reflect and step out of the distractions of our busy lives. The slowing of the mind and body is regenerative and insightful.”
Rosemarie

The Forest Bathing retreat will be in Courtmacsherry starts at 9:30am and will be finished up by 4:30pm. We will meet at the entrance to the Car park at the end of the village near the beach and walk from there.

Wear comfortable walking shoes and an extra layer of warm, waterproof clothes ( layers are essential as we will be moving slowly and it is important to stay warm.

There are no toilets in Courtmacsherry woods. There will be some walking on woodland trails and coastal pathways, with some level of inclines so a reasonable level of fitness is required.

“Leave no trace”, no dogs allowed and no smoking policies apply during Forest Bathing in West Cork woods.
