Frequently Asked

1. What is Coaching?
Coaching is a process which uses questioning skills to facilitate the setting and achieving of goals. It is future oriented, non-judgmental and completely confidential.

The method is ideal for people who wish to enhance their own performance in order to find and meet the demands of new opportunities. It is also geared towards solving problems, increasing motivation and building confidence.

Your coach works with you to help you to challenge old thinking patterns and assumptions, enabling you to focus on what is important to you, set valid goals, recognise where you are now, overcome barriers and identify the right steps to close the gap.

Most importantly – a coach will help you to find the motivation and commitment to take action. She will gently challenge you to step out of your daily habits to look at the wider picture and develop your own goals and actions.

2. What Are Goals?
It has been said that a goal is a dream with a date and a plan. This is rather a good description as a dream will remain where it is without a strategy to take us from where we are now to where we want to be.

Many of us work hard for all of our lives without really knowing why or what we want to achieve. Setting and achieving the right goals will give us a sense of purpose and fulfillment.

3. What Can I Expect From My Coach?
You can expect your coach to help you establish goals which are challenging yet achievable – and above all, right for you.

You will learn skills to help you stay motivated, overcome barriers and keep you moving towards your goals, even when life gets in the way!

Your coach will be totally supportive, non-judgemental, confidential and impartial, providing you with a safe environment to be fully honest and open.

4. Is Coaching Right For Me?
It is up to you to decide which profession can benefit you at any one time.

There will be times when coaching is the right way forward but sometimes you may need the services of a different profession.

Generally speaking, coaching is the right solution when you are eager to take ownership over the future and are committed to taking action.

Coaching can help enormously with achieving the best you can by:

  • Gaining clarity of goals.
  • Achieving goals.
  • Finding solutions to issues in personal or professional areas.
  • Confidence building.
  • Maximising motivation.
  • Preventing procrastination.
